Cheese wax black

Cheese wax is used to coat pressed cheeses. Usually Gouda or Edam.
It protects the cheese from dehydration, impurities and microorganisms - mainly mold.
Cheese wax seals much more hermetically than classic (plastic) cheese coating, which means the cheese remains much smoother.
Moreover, the cheese covered with it is a feast for the eyes!
This cheese wax remains slightly elastic at room temperature.


• Melt the wax on a low heat, preferably bain-marie.
• Apply with a brush or dip the cheese in the melted wax.
• After waxing, allow the cheese to cool completely before placing it in the cave.
• Store in a dry, cool or shady place.
• Cheese wax is food grade but not suitable for consumption.

You can also make candles with it!
