Shipping your package
Packages are sent two to three times a week after receipt of your payment via Bpost or DPD with tracking and delivery without signature. Shipments with DPD are automatically insured up to 500.00 euros incl. VAT. For larger deliveries, we use our own transporter who serves a different region every day of the week. It may then take up to 7 days for your order to be delivered. Please contact us before choosing this delivery method.
The reason we do not ship your order immediately is that cultures and rennet are sent with a cold pack. Also, not everything in our warehouse in Heverlee is in stock, and it sometimes takes a few days before we have collected all the items in your order. The freeze-dried cultures can withstand a beating and can be put back in the freezer or refrigerator immediately after receipt. Mate, these are not meant to be on the road for too long. For example, if we ship on Friday, we know that your package will have been in transit for at least three days. This does not improve the quality of these cultures.
Shipping costs include handling, packaging and postage. Handling costs are fixed amounts, while transport costs depend on the total weight. We recommend that you place your items in one order. We cannot combine two separately placed orders, so shipping charges will apply to each order. Your package will be shipped at your own risk, but special care will be taken for fragile items.
